"She was there and had my back "metaphorically and literally."

Let's talk birth

She was there and had my back “metaphorically and literally.“

Bailey was so sweet and kind when she attended my home birth; I had my three daughters present at my birth, and she helped them be involved and explained “in kid terms“ what was happening at each stage my youngest at four years old needed reassurances and dealt with big feelings about mommy having another baby. Bailey helped keep her distracted and happy when she would start to have tantrums.

I decided to have a water birth at home for my sixth baby, and I'm so glad I did; I felt bad that my labor was progressing slowly, and Bailey would remind me that my baby was coming precisely as she should in her own timing, which helped reassure me. She ran out to grab my husband and girls' food when things still hadn't picked up hours later, and I know that they appreciated it since I'm normally who is cooking and providing meals.

We watched tv, and she rubbed my arms, legs, and back as each contraction hit a little stronger. My water broke later on, and I ended up on the birth stool where my midwife could reach my baby. Bailey actually ended up as my support for my back and helped hold me up as I had my baby. She helped my midwives and their assistants clean up as my husband, our girls, and sons spent time with the new baby. I'm so glad she was there and had my back “metaphorically and literally.“
